I see art as a form of communication: using two dimensions to capture three-dimensional surroundings, moments in time, complex emotions. Where words fail, my brush speaks for me, transforming my experiences into something others can share in. I love this process of creation as expression, as story-telling: the act of using a single image to transport, to evoke, to describe beyond the limits of the paper. The way the subjects interact with the environment, I believe, reflects something essential. Using watercolors allows the paper to come alive, to interact symbiotically with the pigments and with water. My work is full of vibrant, bright color, capturing the light I see in the world.
